Back at the table

Out of town much of Friday afternoon, and took the evening off from serious practice.  Watched a few videos from Drumeo without trying to play along, and later just played with the sticks without musical accompaniment in the recliner downstairs with the TV on.

Back at it tonight, though.  Repeated #1 from Thursday, and feel confident about cross-sticking.  Followed that with day 8 of Doubles; about half at 100% speed, 25% at 85%, and the final 25% at 75%.  Accuracy wasn't 100%, but it doesn't have to be yet.  I'm just auditing this course.

Tried the beginner warmup exercise at 105% for no good reason except that it was different.  I'd give myself a good grade for it, not only for the greater degree of difficulty but also for the success at playing the patterns correctly.  (Good, not perfect.)

Found "The 5 Most Overused Fills" on Drumeo and bookmarked them for later.  Knowing what not to play is valuable, too.
