A day for play

I didn't practice today, or maybe more accurately I didn't "practice" today.  I called up some things in Drumeo and on YouTube, all of which interested me, and I tried to learn to play them to the best of my ability.  Sometimes it even sounded like I was doing them right.  Not all the time, but more often than not.

No interest in playing like a pro if it involves doing something I don't care about, have shown no talent for, and which is going to make me want to quit.  (In general, anything that is made up of 32nd notes.)  But in many cases, even if I can't do the tricks shown in the YouTube video, I am interested in learning how the tricks are done and playing them as fast as I want to.

So it's all good, I was making an effort to learn something and not just playing only what I'm comfortable with.
